Brandon Pollock

Missing Since:

Hamilton Police continue to seek information about the whereabouts of Brandon Pollock.

On September 10, 2019, shortly after 4:00 a.m., Brandon’s mother heard him leave their home near Herkimer Street and Caroline Street in Hamilton. Early-morning walks were part of his routine, but he usually returned within a few hours. When he did not return or attend school that day, his mother reported him missing.

That same day, three boaters encountered a man swimming near the lift bridge in Lake Ontario, approximately one kilometre offshore in the boat channel. They approached twice to check on him. On both occasions, he said he was fine and encouraged them to continue on their way. During the second encounter, they recorded video.

After seeing a missing person appeal for Brandon that evening, the boaters contacted police and provided their video and photographs. Brandon’s family reviewed the images and believe the swimmer was him.

Anyone who saw Brandon that day, encountered the swimmer or has information about Brandon’s whereabouts is asked to contact Hamilton Police. What you remember could help investigators establish what happened and provide answers to his family.
