Missing Person

Hamilton Police continue to seek information about the whereabouts of Roy “George” Taylor.

Roy was last seen at his Stoney Creek residence on the evening of April 2, 2004. His wife immediately reported him missing because his disappearance was out of character.

His home was adjacent to the Bruce Trail. Although Roy was an avid walker, he did not necessarily use the trail. He left without taking any belongings, and his vehicle remained at home. He had no known medical conditions at the time.

Description at the time of disappearance

• White man with a light complexion
• Approximately 6 feet 4 inches (193 cm) tall and 200 pounds (91 kg)
• Grey hair and hazel eyes
• Wears glasses
• Last seen wearing black corduroy pants, a blue-grey plaid shirt, a dark green hooded jacket, a grey toque and black lace-up winter shoes

Anyone who has seen Roy or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Hamilton Police.

A recollection of Roy’s walking routes or an encounter that has never been reported could help investigators trace his movements and bring answers to his family.
