Bonnie Tatti

Hamilton Police continue to seek information about the homicide of Bonnie Tatti, a mother of three who suffered fatal injuries on her 45th birthday.

On May 24, 2010, at approximately 11:30 a.m., police responded to a reported collision involving an injured person near Craigmiller Street and Rosslyn Avenue in Hamilton. Bonnie was found lying on Rosslyn Avenue with a severe head injury. She was transported to hospital and died on June 17, 2010.

Although initially believed to have been struck by a vehicle, information later suggested Bonnie may have been thrown from a moving vehicle. Investigators continue to seek answers about the circumstances that led to her injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing a black GMC Jimmy parked on the wrong side of Rosslyn Avenue, facing against traffic. Someone was heard yelling “Hey!” before the vehicle sped away. Witnesses then saw Bonnie lying in the roadway.

The vehicle was described as a 1996 or 1997 model with chrome rims and a damaged or non-functioning taillight. A male driver and a female passenger were reported to be inside. The vehicle had reportedly been seen in the area before the incident.

Bonnie was deeply loved by her family and loved her children. Her family continues to seek answers and wants to ensure she is not forgotten.

Anyone who recognizes the vehicle description, knows who was inside or has information about what happened to Bonnie is asked to contact Hamilton Police. As time passes, relationships and circumstances change. Someone who previously felt unable to speak may now be ready to come forward and help bring answers to Bonnie’s family.

You do not need to have witnessed the crime or be certain your information is significant. Something you saw, heard or remember could help investigators find answers for a family still waiting.
