Cece Luppino

On January 30, 2019, 44-year-old CeCe Luppino was fatally shot in his garage on Mountain Brow Boulevard. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and continue to seek information about the gunman and a vehicle that may be connected.

Police and paramedics responded to a 911 call at approximately 5:55 p.m. and found the victim with a fatal gunshot wound. Through surveillance footage, investigators determined the shooting had occurred earlier, at approximately 3:10 p.m., shortly after the victim arrived home.

The suspect was seen on the east sidewalk of Rendell Boulevard before walking through a neighbouring property and entering the victim’s open garage. After the shooting, he fled southbound on Rendell Boulevard.

The suspect is described as:

  • Black male
  • Average or athletic build
  • Wearing a black waist-length winter coat, black pants, black boots and a black toque
  • Grey shirt

Investigators believe the suspect may have been watching the area before the shooting, rather than following the victim home. Anyone who noticed a person matching this description, unusual activity or suspicious vehicles around Bill Foley Parkette, particularly its parking lot, during the week leading up to January 30, 2019, is encouraged to come forward.

A dark-coloured, four-door sedan was seen nearby around the time of the shooting and may be involved. Investigators have not confirmed whether the gunman acted alone or had an accomplice.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Hamilton Police. Your information could help identify those responsible and bring answers to the victim’s family.

You do not need to have witnessed the crime or be certain your information is significant. Something you saw, heard or remember could help investigators find answers for a family still waiting.
