Clyde Frost

Hamilton Police continue to seek information about the homicide of 80-year-old Clyde Frost.

Clyde disappeared from his home on Hamilton’s west Mountain on January 23, 1999. On February 2, 1999, his body was found inside his Roadtrek recreational vehicle, parked on a side street in Toronto. He had died from blunt force injuries.

Investigators believe Clyde was killed in the basement of his home before his body was moved into the RV and driven to Toronto. Police believe someone who knew him was responsible.

Shortly after his body was discovered, police received a fax from someone claiming to be one of three people involved in a kidnapping that had gone wrong. That claim has not been established as fact.

A $10,000 reward is available for information leading to an arrest or arrests in connection with Clyde’s murder.

Anyone with information about Clyde’s death, the movement of his RV or the fax is asked to contact Hamilton Police.

Relationships and circumstances can change over time. Someone who once felt unable to speak may now be ready to come forward. Even the smallest detail could help investigators solve Clyde’s murder and bring answers to his family.

You do not need to have witnessed the crime or be certain your information is significant. Something you saw, heard or remember could help investigators find answers for a family still waiting.
