Unsolved Homicide

Michael Gallo was 34 years old when he was fatally stabbed in Hamilton’s west end on October 1, 2020. Hamilton Police continue to investigate his death and seek information about a suspect seen nearby.

At approximately 8:25 p.m., police and paramedics responded to a residence near Main Street West and Haddon Street South, where they found Michael suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital, where he died.

At approximately 8:20 p.m., a male suspect was seen crossing Main Street West at Haddon Street, where he was nearly struck by a vehicle.

The suspect is described as:

• Male, approximately 5’9” tall
• Slender build
• Wearing a grey hoodie with black sleeves, with the hood up
• Dark pants
• Blue surgical mask

Investigators want to hear from anyone who saw this individual, witnessed a disturbance or has surveillance footage from the Westdale area that evening. Even a small detail could help establish what happened to Michael and identify those responsible.
