Natshon Defreitas
Hamilton Police continue to seek information about the homicide of 19-year-old Natshon Defreitas.
On September 23, 2018, just after 4:00 a.m., Natshon was shot at an after-hours party at 470 Beach Road in Hamilton’s east end.
A group of people attempted to drive him to hospital, encountering Hamilton firefighters near Dalhousie Avenue and Ottawa Street North along the way. Paramedics transported Natshon to Hamilton General Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Investigators previously released photographs of a person of interest taken at Modrn Nightclub in the Hess Street entertainment district hours before the shooting. Police sought to speak with this individual, though it was unclear whether he had any involvement in Natshon’s death.
Anyone who attended the party, can identify the individual pictured or has information about the shooting is asked to contact Hamilton Police at 905-546-3865.
With the passage of time, someone who was previously reluctant to speak with police may now feel ready to come forward. It is never too late to do the right thing and help bring answers to Natshon’s family.
You do not need to have witnessed the crime or be certain your information is significant. Something you saw, heard or remember could help investigators find answers for a family still waiting.
